Introduction
Welcome to the Consultation Web Page for the proposed Manufacturing facility for offshore wind turbine blades at the Port of Leith.
Vestas Offshore Wind Blades UK Ltd. are delighted to consult on their proposals for a proposed manufacturing facility for offshore wind turbine blades, laydown area and all associated and ancillary development on land to the east of Imperial Dock, Port of Leith, Edinburgh shown with a red line boundary on the plan below.
Public Consultation
We want to ensure that you are informed of the plans and welcome the opportunity to hear your views as preparations are made to submit a planning application.
The first public consultation event was held at Ocean Terminal on 6 August 2024 where Vestas and their design team presented their proposals, answered questions and listened to comments made by the public. Vestas thank everyone who attended the event or viewed their proposals online and for all the feedback which received during and following the exhibition.
Second Consultation Event
The second and final consultation event was held on 26 September 2024 between 3pm and 7pm, at Leith Community Centre, 12a Newkirkgate, Edinburgh, EH6 6AD.
